IOPS Scaling - 512 KB Random Read
This chart shows the drive's ability to handle multiple 512 KB random read operations simultaneously. The solid state drives in this comparison were arranged according to their average performance. While a high overall score may be desirable, this is not necessary for desktop or laptop users who should concentrate on the scores from the single I/O and 8 outstanding I/Os tests.

The 240 GB Intel 520 Series was actually slightly faster than the OCZ RevoDrive initially, but as the number of I/Os piled up, the RevoDrive did much better. In fact, the Intel 520 series SSD appeared to be "maxed out" once the number of outstanding I/Os hit 8. Still, it did much better than the other SSDs.

The OCZ RevoDrive was the fastest solid state drive in this test, followed by the 240 GB Intel 520 Series, and then, the OCZ Vertex 2 (E) and the Corsair F90. The top 4 SSDs in this test were all powered by a SandForce controller, two controllers in the case of the RevoDrive.
