Having Trouble Running The Benchmark?

We successfully tested this version on a variety of platforms and operating systems before releasing it. However, it is possible that you may still face problems running it. Usually, it would involve UAC or administrator privileges.

If you have UAC (User Access Control) enabled, it is best to disable it before running this benchmark. Why? The benchmark includes CPU-Z that will automatically generate your system specs and place them in the results report along with your benchmark data. The problem is that UAC will prevent CPU-Z from running when CPU-Z is launched via a batch file.

To overcome this, we created a Visual Basic Script to disable UAC before running the benchmark, and then re-enabling it after the benchmark is complete. However, you will need to reboot after that to reactivate UAC.

If the benchmark still doesn't run after you disable UAC, it may be because you did not enable your Adminstrator account. To do that, follow these instructions :

  • Right-click My computer and select "Manage"

  • Then "Local Users and Groups"

  • Then "Users"

  • Then right-click the Administrator account and select "Set Password..." and setup a password.

  • Now right-click it again and select "Properties" and make sure the "Account is disabled" is NOT checked.

  • Click OK and exit.

Still Cannot Get It To Run?
