found in the Warcraft III : Frozen
Throne expansion pack!

heroes and units in Frozen Throne. This glossary will serve as a good reference
for both Frozen Throne novices as well as the veterans.
Let's start with the Night Elves!
Night Elves

New Night Elves Hero
The Warden Maeiv

The Night Elves' warden serves as special police or guardian in Kalimdor.
Originally the warden, Maeiv was assigned to watch over Illidan's
prison. When the demon hunter escaped and broke loose to bring chaos to
the world, it is once again the warden's job to recapture and put Illidan
away once and for all!
The Warden's Abilities

Shadowmeld
Just like all female Night Elves, the Warden has the ability to Shadowmeld.
This ability allows the Warden to hide from the eyes of the enemies. However,
this skill works only during the night.

Fans of Knives
At a moment's notice, the Warden has the ability to twist her body and
hurl a barrage of knives in all directions, inflicting up to 180 points
of damage per blade on the enemies around her.

Blink
In a split second, the Warden can teleport herself for a substantial distance
with minimal mana consumption. This spell enables the warden to teleport
to inaccessible places or past obstacles. Barriers like rocks and trees
are no longer an obstacle for the Warden as she hurries to her destination.

Shadow Strike
Using Shadow Strike, the Warden can hurl a poisoned dagger at a
designated target which inflicts 225 points of damage at Level
3. The poison effect continues after the initial damage, dealing 45
points of damage every 3 seconds. It also reduces the attack rate
and movement of the enemy.

Spirit of Vengeance
It creates a powerful avatar that assists the Warden in battle. In addition,
the Spirit of Vengeance summons up to SIX invulnerable spirits
from surrounding corpses. These spirits have a lifespan of 50 seconds
and will disappear at the end of their lifespan or when the avatar is
destroyed.
New Night Elves Units
Mountain Giant

Originally crafted by the Titans aeons ago, the colossal mountain giants
awoken in a world of chaos and pledged their cause to the Night Elves.
The mountain giants compensate for their poor mobility with their ability
to take incredible amounts of damage. They attack melee units using their
massive hands or with a tree trunk as their war club.
The Mountain Giant's Abilities

Taunt
This skill forces all nearby enemies to attack the mountain giant. Since
they are invulnerable to heavy attacks and have good resistance to magic,
the mountain giants can help weaker units by taking the brunt of the enemies'
damaging attacks. In essence, it prevents enemies from attacking heroes
or other weak units.

War Club
The mountain giants already do substantial damage with their hands. But
equipped with a tree trunk as a war club, these monstrous creatures do
great siege damage which will really hurt enemy buildings, not to mention
enemy melee units! Furthermore, a war club also slightly increases the
mountain giants' attacking range.

Hardened Skin
All attacks on a mountain giant will be reduced by 12 points. However,
the damage cannot be reduced below 3 points.
Resistant Skin
With Resistant Skin, the mountain giants are to be able to resist
spells like Polymorph and Possesion. Abilities that affect
them like Ensnare, Stun and Poison will have shorter
durations. In other words, the mountain giants have the same resistance
to magic as a Hero.
Faerie Dragon

Though physically weak, a couple of these anti-spellcaster units will
prove to be a great addition to the Night Elves. They are immune to magic
and their spells are designed to counter the enemies' spellcasters. The
Faerie Dragons can deal damage to both air and land units.
The Faerie Dragon's Abilities

Phase Shift
Whenever it takes damage, the Faerie Dragon has the ability to shift itself
out of existence for a second. During this period, the Faerie Dragon will
not be able to attack, cast spells or move; and no attack or spell will
have an effect on it. However, abilities like Ensnare or Web
cannot be dispelled even if phase shifting is performed.

Mana Flare
When the Faerie Dragon uses this ability, it transforms itself into a
magical ball. It will then channel negative magical energies that damage
the enemy spellcasters when they cast spells in the surrounding radius.
This ability also adds 12 points to the Faerie Dragon's armor.
