GeForce 8800 GTS 512MB Vs. GeForce 8800 GT

Company Of Heroes & F.E.A.R.

In Company Of Heroes, the GeForce 8800 GTS 512MB was 12 % faster than the GeForce 8800 GT even at 1280 x 1024. This lead jumped to 14.1 % at 1600 x 1200 and further increased to 15.5 % at 1920 x 1200.

In F.E.A.R., the GeForce 8800 GTS 512MB had a small 6.1 % lead at the lowest resolution, but quickly increased it to 14 % at 1600 x 1200.

At 1920 x 1200, the GeForce 8800 GTS 512MB was 16.8 % (1/6th) faster than the GeForce 8800 GT. That's pretty amazing performance.

BioShock & Crysis

In BioShock, the GeForce 8800 GTS 512MB was 14 % faster than the GeForce 8800 GT at 1280 x 1024. This lead increased to 16.1 % at 1600 x 1200 and then 17.5 % at 1920 x 1200.

In Crysis, the GeForce 8800 GTS 512MB's extra processing muscle made a big difference. It was playable at up to 1600 x 1200. At the lower resolution of 1280 x 1024, it was already 11.1 % faster than the GeForce 8800 GT. But its lead jumped to a massive 26.7 % at 1600 x 1200. At the maximum resolution we tested (1920 x 1080), the GeForce 8800 GTS 512MB was actually just over 30 % faster than the GeForce 8800 GT. Truly amazing performance.
