How Fast Is The GeForce 7950 GX2?

That's a very good question. We just got our test results in and are currently processing them. In the meantime, let's take a look at some results from NVIDIA. We will see just how accurate they are, when we finish our analysis of our own results.

Testbed

NVIDIA tested their GeForce 7950 GX2 and GeForce 7900 GTX cards on two different systems - one based on the AMD Athlon FX-57 processor and one based on the new AMD AM2 Athlon FX-62. They then compared the cards against the ATI Radeon X1900 XTX using the AMD Athlon FX-57 system.

The Results

What NVIDIA's results generally show is that the GeForce 7900 GTX actually rivals the Radeon X1900 XTX in most tests. The new GeForce 7950 GX2, on the other hand, totally blew the Radeon X1900 XTX out of the water!
