Logitech Z-680 5.1 Speaker Set Review

Introduction

Everyone wants a killer rig. You just have to have the best processor, superb graphics and of course, ultra-crisp sound. Only then will your experience be a truly immersive one.

Audio output is key to the experience of immersing yourself in the environment. Graphics can only do so much. The rest is provided by audio cues and music. Nothing improves the atmosphere in a game than heart-pounding bass, clear mid-range and ultra crisp treble. For that, you need a good sound card as well as great speakers!

Now, I'm sure a few names in PC speakers comes quickly to mind. But one name that stands out clearly above the others has to be Logitech.

Logitech Inc.

Logitech Inc is a Swiss company that is now headquartered in Fremont, California. They started out as an OEM supplier but now, they design, manufacture and sell interface devices (i.e. keyboards, mice, webcams, and speakers).

Their retail businesses now accounts for 80% of their income and they have established themselves as one of the best manufacturers of interface devices.

Today, we will be looking at what's arguably one of the best speaker systems ever made - the Logitech Z-680. Let's get on with it!

Packaging

The Logitech Z-680 came in a big box! Man, I got a real backache carrying that! This sort of hints at the size of the actual speakers inside, doesn't it?

Z-680 Box

The box does well to show off the speakers and its features. The specifications are printed on the other side of the box.

Features

I like the way the images are displayed on the box.
