San Jose, California - July 26, 2010 - Super Talent Technology, a leading manufacturer of Flash storage solutions and DRAM memory modules, today announced the new "UltraDrive MX SSD". The UltraDrive MX features a new dual-interface for both SATA II and mini-USB connections. The new dual-interface enables this SSD to offer a new level of flexibility and consumer convenience by enabling the customer to use this drive as either an internal SSD or an external SSD.
For customers thinking about upgrading their PC or notebook to a Solid State Disk, the dual-interface UltraDrive MX is a dream come true. Customers can first utilize the USB connector to create an image of their existing internal hard drive. Once complete, the drives can be swapped and the PC rebooted. In the past, creating such an image required an external hard disk enclosure. Now this operation can be completed, faster, easier and with less expense.

Since 1999, we have been developing the BIOS Optimization Guide, affectionately known as the BOG. From a meager beginning of a single page, it now covers over 440 BIOS options. As old BOG readers will know, we started offering two editions of the BOG since Revision 8.0 - a simplified edition and the complete edition.
Normally, the complete edition is only available to subscribers who help sponsor the development of the guide through a small fee. However, that changes today! From now on, we will post a BIOS option from the complete edition of the BIOS Optimization Guide every weekend.
This week, we will be taking a look at the XD Technology BIOS setting.

Western Digital may be marketing their new VelociRaptor family of high-speed hard drives as enterprise-class hard drives but they are also very popular with hardware enthusiasts who just cannot resist their 10,000 RPM spindle speed.
To cater to this exclusive group of enthusiasts, Western Digital first introduced the Raptor and Raptor X hard drives with capacities of 36 GB to 150 GB. These Raptors evolved into the first-generation Western Digital VelociRaptor hard drives with twice the storage capacity in a much smaller 2.5" drive form factor.
Western Digital has since introduced an improved version of the VelociRaptor, with double the storage capacity and support for SATA 6 Gb/s. The new VelociRaptor 6 Gb/s is available in storage capacities of 450 GB or 600 GB.
Today, we will look at the Western Digital VelociRaptor 600 GB hard disk drive - the WD6000HLHX, which comes with the IcePack mounting frame. Let’s find out how well this drive performs!

The Razer Mamba is a fantastic gaming mouse. It feels great and its highly-precise laser sensor makes it a great joy to use, whether it’s for gaming or for work. I can also choose to use it wirelessly, or attached to a high-speed USB cable. It has remained my favourite mouse for the last two years... until recently.
It has started to "rock" a little in use, making it very tiring on the wrist. We investigated and found that the Mamba has started to bloat...
